Become a Mentor

Overview

The Mentor Program brings together MIT $100k Competition teams with dynamic, real world business people that share a common interest and have the skills, contacts, or insight to help a team with their business plan. We give students and team members an opportunity to learn from enthusiastic and dedicated entrepreneurs, technologists, and professionals who have been there, and done that. We give the business community a social forum to interact with the best and most promising student teams from MIT and a chance to meet other entrepreneurial leaders.

An MIT $100k Mentor is a successful entrepreneur, venture capitalist, angel investor, or service professional who has registered with and been accepted by the MIT $100k Core Organizers as a volunteer to help $100k Competition teams strengthen their business plans. Mentors are completely altruistic and have a heartfelt commitment to work with students and teams. We expect your time commitment, however little or much, to be undivided. If your primary goal is to find a good investment or buy your way into equity, please do not even try to volunteer.

If you would like to become a Mentor, please email an Organizer from our contacts page.

If you are a team planning to enter the competition and you would like to request a mentor, click here to register and access the mentor request page.
