ESC Mentorship
A good Executive Summary has become a crucial part of the entrepreneurial process that some venture capitalists now prefer to receive just a Summary and Financials before reviewing an entire business plan. The Executive Summary gives the reader an opportunity to understand your business idea and grab the highlights of your business, then decide whether they want to go further exploring your Business Plan.
We look for clear, concise and compelling Executive Summaries. For that reason, they should be around 1-2 pages – a busy investor would spend less than 5 minutes to read through.
In order to help your team produce the best Executive Summary, MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition is offering access to mentors including experienced entrepreneurs and previous MIT $100K judges during this workshop.
- Teams are responsible for bringing two hardcopies of their Executive Summary that complies with the MIT $100K guidelines.
- Only one member from each team should sign up for a time slot reservation.
- Teams that have a designated time slot are guaranteed to meet with an MIT $100K mentor.
- Team must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time and check in with the registration desk at that time.
- Teams that are late will lose their designated time slot. If all team members are not present at the time the team checks in, it is at the discretion of the team to pass its turn until the remainder of the team arrives, but the team may lose its spot at the discretion of the organizers.
- No Walk-Ins will be accepted.
Due to the level of interest, we encourage all teams to sign up for a time slot as early as possible. We will try our best to accommodate teams with waitlist tickets, however we cannot guarantee any availabilities. We are working to secure more mentors and will contact those on the waitlist as time slots open up; we therefore encourage you to sign up for the waitlist when declared spaces have been exhausted.
Signup for one of six slots on Monday November 30th: 6:00, 6:20, 6:40, 7:10, 7:30, and 7:50PM.
