Executive Summary Contest

The Executive Summary Contest (ESC) is the second of three contests hosted by the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition.
As the Elevator Pitch Contest focused on idea generation, the Executive Summary Contest emphasizes team formation and idea refinement.
Why Enter?
Beyond the $100K glory, you should enter because you will be far more likely to get into the semi finals of the Business Plan Contest (BPC) because the first round submission for the BPC is – you guessed it – a two page executive summary.
How does this work?
- Team Formation. Now until Dec 3rd. Form teams by attending track mixers (see Upcoming Events), by posting your idea on the Idea Board (live by Nov 20th), and networking with students are your and other schools.
- Executive Summary Creation. Now until Dec 3rd. Refine your idea and craft your two page executive summary. See the Resources page for tips and tricks on how to put together a prize winning entry.
- Submission. Dec 3rd, 6pm. This is when your submission is due, no exceptions. Please the Rules for eligibility and complete entry info.
- Preliminary Judging. By Dec 10th. We are recruiting top notch judges from each of our 6 industry tracks and they will review your executive summaries before Dec 10th. Those teams that have made it to the semi-finals for the track will be notified by Dec 12th.
- Finale. Feb 11th. After winter break, we will host the finale of the Executive Summary Contest. Winners for each track selected from the semi-finalists will be announced, on overall winner will be selected by a new panel of judges, and the audience and judges will each select their favorite pitch.
Be sure to take a look at the “Upcoming Events” page for up to the minute information on track mixers and other ESC events…
Executive Summary Entry Deadline: Dec 3rd, 6pm.
