Awards While the $100K Competition Organizers do recognize a few teams as winners of the Competition, everyone who participates in the Competition is a winner due to the tremendous learning opportunity. Each participant learns about entrepreneurship, how to identify a business opportunity, how to form a team, how to write an executive summary, how to write a business plan and how to build a successful network of contacts. All of this occurs in the unique environment of MIT where leading edge technology is combined with forwarding thinking business skills and people. Fall MIT $1K Warm-Up Awards:Each Fall, there is a total of $10,000 divided among ten winning entries. The ten winning teams enter exemplary executive summaries which are recognized in one of ten various industry categories. Spring MIT $100K Awards:Each Spring, $100,000 is divided among the winning entries. The Robert P. Goldberg Grand Prize Winner receives $30,000 and two runner-up teams receive $10,000 each. The Development track winning team receives $30,000 and two runner-up teams receive $10,000 each. In addition to the cash awards, there are many in-kind services that are donated to the winning teams. |
